Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife
This is the main port in the island, and also one of the key ones in terms of passenger traffic.
A fishing, passenger, cargo and sports port. The port is located in the Santa Cruz bay.
And it’s one of the main ports in the world in terms of cruise traffic.
The second half of the 19th century saw its heyday, when this port became the main economic hub of the island, with the sales of cochineal and the colonial routes.
Moving forward, in 2016, the cruise terminal was opened, with capacity for 10,000 passengers. The building includes an area for the control and distribution of material and supplies.
