For more than a decade, FRS has focused its efforts on internationalization, transforming itself from a regional ferry operator to an international active business group with 13 branch offices spread throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, offering ferry services for vehicles and passengers, excursions, freight divisions and even regional bus routes.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Management and filling of all tax returns for a group of five entities: 111, 115, VAT, Social Security, IS, 216, etc.
  • Complying with all tax and fiscal obligations to all group entities in due time and form.
  • Help the Finance Manager in auditing processes.
  • Filling of Annual Accounts in the Mercantile Registry.
  • Management and response to all notifications from the AEAT in a timely manner.
  • Management and response to all notification from different governmental bodies: INE, Bank of Spain, etc.
  • Registration of vessels under Tonnage Tax Regime.
  • Posting of wages and salaries journal entries for all group companies.

 

Education:

  • Business Administration degree or equivalent.
  • Specific courses or education in tax or fiscal matter is positively valued.

 

Languages:

  • Very high level of English required (fluent in spoken and in written) as all communications with HQ located in Germany are provided in this language.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role to the one described above, in an international environment and in companies with a business turnover >€50M.  or at least 2 years of experience in tax advisory, preferred in a Big-Four-Company
  • Used to the filling tax returns, dealing with SII, and online tax returns payment.
  • Analytical and methodical person, with the ability to self-managed and plan tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in consolidated tax group of companies or tax consolidation will be valued positively.
  • Team player, used to working under pressure and with deadlines.
  • Shipping industry experience is ideal, although not essential.

 

Computer skills:

  • Knowledge of using SAP is a plus.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Office products.
  • Ideal: High level of Excel.
