In response to the requirements of the new legislation, from 1 March 2021 the discount for residents will be shown in the final stage of the purchase process. Regulation for Residence discounts
From 01 March 2021, according to the new General State Budget regulation, it is established that travellers must prove their resident status when completing the purchase process, just before paying for their ticket.
However, upon making their reservation, the first price indicated will be the ticket without any discount included (which will be applied at a later stage, before payment).
During the online purchase process (web or app), you will see the general rate without any discount applied. You will then be able to select resident status at the end of the purchase process (before payment), therefore applying the discount to the value of the ticket.
After this step, you will be able to pay and reserve your seat.
You will still need to provide your resident status with a valid census statement.

This change has been implemented as, from 1 January 2021, according to the new regulation for Resident Transport Discounts provided for in the General State Budget Law for 2021, resident discounts must be applied at the end of the purchase process when booking a ferry ticket (and not at the start).
European Union citizens residing in the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla can benefit from a 75% discount on the standard passenger rate. In the case of residents of Formentera, an 89% discount will be applied.
